Former Eurythmics star ANNIE Lennox shocked fans at a New York charity gig when she swore at the audience - by giving them "the finger". The singer was less than impressed with her reception at a UNICEF benefit on Tuesday (06Nov07) - and called the crowd "rude", before executing the rude gesture. A witness tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "She got ticked, finished the song, then sarcastically said, 'Thank you for listening' and gave them the finger. "She said everyone was loud and rude and they should have their five mojitos and 'go see KC and the Sunshine Band if you want to act that way.'"
