LENNON'S KILLER TRIED TO SELL SIGNED LP
JOHN LENNON's killer MARK CHAPMAN attempted to sell an album the former BEATLE signed for him hours before he shot the star dead.
The 53-year-old asked Lennon to sign the Double Fantasy LP before fatally shooting him outside his New York home in December 1980.
And Chapman tried to sell the disc to a memorabilia specialist from New Jersey five years later.
In a series of letters printed by British newspaper the Evening Standard, it is claimed the record was bought in 1999 by an anonymous American.
In 2004 it went up for sale again, priced at $548,000 (GBP274,000), through a US memorabilia website.
Chapman is serving 20-years-to-life at Attica Correctional Facility in New York.

Well, well, John's assassinator regrets that he killed John Lennon. I say give the
coward parole so that those of us who loved John, and all that he contributed to
the world, can take a shot at him. In giving him parole he will finally receive the
conviction he should have had been given in the first place, death. If he ever is paroled
you'll have to act quickly and take a number, because there so many of us who would
like to take him out. Thanks John for all that you have added to my life. WOW! What
a great ride!
P.S. As an added afront to John's assissation we're the ones paying the taxes that
keep the bastard alive.
what a sicko!!!!
maybe he is trying to imatate mill$$$$
in the money for nothing competition
