LEITCH PENS WOOLF MUSICAL
Folk singer DONOVAN's son DONOVAN LEITCH has penned a new musical about the fictional son of tragic novelist VIRGINIA WOOLF.
The Dark Root of the Dream chronicles the madness a character called Mr. E goes through as he attempts to deal with his mother's suicide.
Leitch's creation suffers an identity crisis, believing himself to be Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allen Poe, and Frederich Nietzche among others.
The musical will premiere at Largo at the Coronet Theatre in Los Angeles on 6 June (09).
Actor/musician Leitch tells WENN, "This musical is a complete departure from me. I have taken my exploration of the unconscious through dream therapy and married it to the soul clutching sounds of gypsy music."
