LEGITIMACY OF 'LEAKED' PUMPKINS TRACKS THROWN INTO DOUBT

The legitimacy of four 'leaked' new SMASHING PUMPKINS songs has been thrown into doubt, because fans are convinced the singer on THE BAKER DEMOS is not BILLY CORGAN. The tracks COLLAPSING CITIES, THE RESTLESS WORLD, SIAM MAIS and IN THE EYES BEHOLDING have appeared on numerous file-sharing websites, and claim to originate from sessions recorded by Corgan, drummer JIMMY CHAMBERLAIN and QUEEN producer ROY THOMAS BAKER. But MTV reports that many fans have snubbed the "leak" because they believe it's a hoax, especially because it remains unclear if founding guitarist JAMES IDA and bassist D'ARCY WRETZKY will join the reunion.
