LEGEND 'FEELS TERRIBLE' FOR BROWN AND RIHANNA

R&B star JOHN LEGEND was left dumbfounded when he heard CHRIS BROWN had been accused of assaulting a woman last weekend (08Feb09) - because he didn't think the singer had a violent streak in him.
Brown was charged by Los Angeles police with making criminal threats on Sunday after an alleged fight with a woman believed to be Rihanna.
The news came as a shock to Ordinary People hitmaker Legend - but he insists if the reports are true, Brown will have to face the consequences of his actions.
He says, "I know both of them. I was surprised when I heard because it doesn't strike me as something Chris would do.
"You never know what's inside people or what can trigger that.
"It's an awful story. I feel terrible for both of them but if Chris did what they said he did, that's unacceptable. He has to accept the consequences of it."
