LEE'S PILOT 'HAD VODKA' AFTER LANDING
The pilot of rocker TOMMY LEE's helicopter told police he drank vodka after he was ordered to land for flying erratically, according to new reports.
The Motley Crue drummer was a passenger in the aircraft when officials grounded it for coming "too close" to a Los Angeles police helicopter over Glendale, California on Sunday (01Feb09).
Cops took the pilot into custody for a blood alcohol test after he was found at a nearby hotel 10 minutes after landing.
And latest reports allege the unnamed man told police he had a drink after they ordered him down from the skies.
TMZ.com claims the pilot says he went to an aviation facility at the airport right after landing and someone gave him vodka before police arrived.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reportedly investigating the incident.
