LEDGER PAL RECALLS LATE STAR'S ECCENTRIC TRIPS

HEATH LEDGER was an eccentric who was high on life, according to the late actor's best pal, WES BENTLEY.
The two young stars struck up a firm friendship after working together on the film Four Feathers - and fellow actor Bentley admits he never understood many of the tragic star's bizarre flights of fancy.
Bentley tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "He liked to go to Vegas dressed snazzy. He'd walk the streets of Vegas and never really have a plan, dressed up in a pink blazer and a tie.
"He liked to get a boat and travel to the Greek islands.
"Some people think he'd party too much and take drugs. It was young energy. He was high off life."

Bently "admits he didn't understand Heath's bizarre flights of fancy?" Wes said nothing of the sort! ___ What Bently did say was: - "HEATH'S FUN CLOUDED IT'S WAY THROUGH A ROOM. IT WAS INFECTIOUS. If you were stuck in an elevator with him, you'd be entertained. He liked to go to Vegas dressed snazzy. He'd walk the streets of Vegas and never really have a plan, dressed up in a pink blazer and a tie. He liked to get a boat and travel to the Greek islands. Some people think he'd party too much and take drugs. That was NOT the case. It was young energy. He was high off life." ___ Bentley was talking about how Heath was spontaneous and funloving. ___ Words have power. There is a responsibility to writing. And if one is going to act as some sort of news source, writers must refrain from imbuing their writing with their own judgement or personal pre-conceived notions. It is unfair to both Bentley and to Ledger to give Bentley's positive words a negative connotation.
