LED ZEP SONGS TO BE DOWNLOADABLE

Led Zeppelin are to make their entire back catalogue available for download next month.

From November 13th, fans will be able to download classic tracks like Whole Lotta Love, Stairway to Heaven and Kashmir via online music stores such as Apple's iTunes.

Legendary guitarist Jimmy Page commented: "We are pleased that the complete Led Zeppelin catalogue will now be available digitally. The addition of the digital option will better enable fans to obtain their music in whichever manner they prefer."

As with the Beatles, Led Zeppelin had long shied away from making their music available for digital purchase, but both acts have now had a change of heart.

George Harrison's solo material was made available for download last week, meaning that individual material from all four Beatles is now available online, while Led Zeppelin have followed their announcement of a one-off reunion concert with today's promise of downloadable tracks.

Edgar Bronfman Jr, Warner Music Group chairman, described the Zeppelin canon as a "highly anticipated and essential addition to the world's leading digital music services".

"We look forward to expanding Led Zeppelin's presence across a full array of digital platforms," he added.

The band - with Jason Bonham, son of the late John, on drums - will perform together for first time in 19 years at November 26th's reunion concert at London's O2 Arena.
