LEBRON JAMES HAS TUMOUR REMOVED

Basketball superstar LEBRON JAMES has undergone surgery to have a benign growth removed from his jaw.
The Cleveland Cavaliers ace, who was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the 2008-2009 season, went under the knife to rid his right jaw of the tumour in a five-hour operation on Tuesday (02Jun09).
James, 24, has been suffering from the condition for a few months, according to a spokesperson for his team, but he is now recovering in an Ohio hospital.
The rep adds, "(Doctors are) pleased with the outcome of the procedure, and at this time, are confident that no further treatment will be needed as LeBron is expected to make a full and complete recovery."
