LAW: 'I'M NOT THE NEW CAINE'
JUDE LAW has played down reports he wants to be the next SIR MICHAEL CAINE - despite reprising two of the veteran actor's iconic roles.
The British star played Alfie in the remake of the 1966 film of the same name, and is set to star in a remake of 1972 thriller Sleuth alongside Caine himself.
But Law insists he isn't purposely treading in the star's past footsteps.
He says, "I feel rather foolish that I've done both.
"People might think that I have designs to be the next Michael Caine, but there's only one Michael Caine. It was never a plan of mine to do this. They were two separate challenges."
