LATEST: Young bride AVRIL LAVIGNE ate junk food to battle pre-wedding nerves ahead of her marriage to SUM 41 frontman DERYCK WHIBLEY on Saturday (15JUL06). The MY HAPPY ENDING singer, 21, enjoyed a massage and a small meal at a California hotel before arriving at the Montecito estate, where she wed Whibley in front of 100 family and friends, including Whibley's Sum 41 bandmates and music mogul CLIVE DAVIS. In an exclusive interview with ET CANADA, Lavigne reveals, "I had junk food at the hotel - sandwiches and French fries. "I didn't eat very much. I had a little. I had some tuna." The Canadian singer wore an ivory strapless Vera Wang gown, while Whibley and his five groomsmen, including Sum 41 drummer STEVE JOCZ who acted as best man, wore Hugo Boss. Lavigne says, "I had my mom, my sister and my grandma come in and help me put my dress on." The couple started dating in 2004 after an initial friendship and became engaged last summer (JUN05).
