Rapper-actress QUEEN LATIFAH considered calling her new album THE L WORD, to mess with the gossips who speculate about her sexuality.
Latifah has long been rumoured to be gay, in part because she played a lesbian in 1996 movie Set It Off, and has never discussed her personal life.
The star is in no mood to clear up the speculation - but was tempted to add fuel to the fire with her latest release.
She tells RollingStone.com, “Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun, but I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.'”
The as-yet-unnamed LP is set for release in December (08).
