LATIFAH OFFERS SPEARS SUPPORT
QUEEN LATIFAH has become the latest celebrity to offer troubled BRITNEY SPEARS a retreat, urging the fallen pop star to go home with her. The Chicago star has been watching Spears' problems unfold in recent months and she feels compelled to offer the singer her help and support. This comes a day after Spears' antics outside a crucial Los Angeles custody hearing cost the star all her visitation rights with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James for another month. The Los Angeles Commissioner overseeing Spears' custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline has ruled the singer will have to wait until the next hearing on 19 February (08) to fight for access to her kids after she failed to actually attend the hearing on Monday (14Jan08). And Latifah, real name Dana Owens, isn't surprised that so many celebrities are offering Spears help, while others appear to be chiding and poking fun. She says, "A lot of us can relate to each other. Look how many people just want to take Britney home and give her a place to sleep and rest and talk her down. "Everybody wants to help this girl... We understand the pressures we deal with and realise up underneath all that star stuff we're normal people with normal problems. "We'd rather support each other than tear each other down."

Hi - My name is Fran, and I am from the Bronx. I have been very concerned about Brittany
for a long time. I can't understand why all these overdegreed people were not aware
that she suffering from mental issues. I worked in a methadone maintenance treatment progr
am for about 20 years, and alot of our patients are dual-diagnosis (meaning they
have drug and alcohol problems). I think that Brittany uses the above to mask her
problems. I thought she was bi-polar along time ago. I also believe she suffers from
depression, and possible other comorbity diagnosis. I think she loves these children
so much, that if she loses all visitation rights to her precious and adorable children,
she will kill herself - that worries me alot. I think Kevin is a money, hungry par
asite, and wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for Brittany. I have written many
e-mails to him and his lawyer about the unsurmontable pressure they are putting on
her. I believe tht Kevin wants her to fail. He has gotten meaner by the month. I
believe the reason she left yesterday (not going into court) was I believe afraid
of all those people. Being bi-polar she has lows and highs (mania). I must have
written this alot of times, but Brittany reported that Kevin smoked pot in front
of the children, and you don't hear anything about that. Why? I recently started keeping
copies of my e-mails that I send regarding the above. Now that I know that her father
had drug and alcohol problems, she is genetically impaired. Also she has worked since
she was very young, never had a break and supported her whole family. I don't want
to sound like I know alot, and I hope it doesn't offend. Boy, you are some terrific
comedian and actress. I don't care how much money Brittany gets a month, Kevin should
get nothing. I believe that the judge should have ordered Kevin to submit urines samples,
considering that Kevin smokes pot all the time, and pot stays in your system a couple
of days. Also, he sends his bodyguards to bring and pick-up the children from Brittany.
He is so cold!! I hope I didn't bore you, but I feel strongly about this. If I can
