LATE-NIGHT LAUGHS AS THORNTON ADDRESSES AMERICA
BILLY BOB THORNTON addressed America on Thursday night (13Sep07) when late-night chat show host DAVID LETTERMAN briefly handed over his THE LATE SHOW programme to the movie star.
The Oscar winner read out Letterman's nightly top 10 list, which was dubbed Things Billy Bob Thornton Would Like To Say To America for the night.
The Bad Santa star's quirky and comical comments included: "Fact: If it's not bacon it needs to get off my plate"; "It's not easy being the only famous guy on the planet named Billy Bob", and "Even I find myself a little strange."
He also quipped, "I have a tattoo of (U.S. lifestyle queen) Martha Stewart on my ass," and "I traded my Academy Award for a chimpanzee named Marty."
Thornton finished his top 10 list with, "People ask if there are any projects I've done that I regret. You're looking at it."
