LAPAGLIA ORGANISES SOCCER TOURNAMENT FOR BUSHFIRE VICTIMS

Actor ANTHONY LAPAGLIA is planning a seven-a-side soccer tournament to raise cash for the victims of the Australian bush fires.
The Without A Trace star, a former soccer ace Down Under, has organised a Hollywood United Football Club day-out, dubbed Footy & Meat Pies, in Pacific Palisades, California to help out those caught up in the natural disaster earlier this month (Feb09).
Announcing the tournament, which is set to kick off on Saturday (28Feb09), LaPaglia says, "The cost of relief for the victims and rebuilding all that was lost will most likely run at $500 million. Of course, no price can be placed on the loss of family and loved ones and the suffering caused by the loss of your community."
The actor will be joined by Without A Trace co-star Poppy Montgomery and fellow stars Donal Logue and Dominic Purcell.
Former European soccer stars Frank LeBoeuf and Richard Gough will also be among the action.
