LANGHAM REVEALS SEXUAL ABUSE PAST

LATEST: British comedy star CHRIS LANGHAM has spoken out in court about the sexual abuse he suffered as a child. Langham is charged with six counts of indecent assault on a girl under 18, as well as 15 counts of making indecent images of a child. However, taking the witness stand at Maidstone Crown Court in England on Thursday (26Jul07), Langham insisted he was a victim of child molestation aged just eight by a man who took him sailing when he was living in Canada with his family. But he refused to divulge details, confessing he felt "deep, deep shame" about the incident. Later, explaining the child porn found on his computer by police, he insisted he was as shocked as the jury by the explicit films he inadvertently downloaded while searching for adult pornography. He said, "I opened it and it was not particularly vicious, but it was still a child. I closed it and I was very shaken by it. "I talked to my wife about it. I'm one of the children in the photographs. That's the problem I have with it. I don't know how to react to it." Langham denies all charges against him and claims any material found on his computer was for research purposes. The trial continues.
