Funnymen WILL FERRELL and DANNY MCBRIDE and their castmates on new action comedy LAND OF THE LOST had to lock their hotel doors at the end of a day's shoot in Lancaster, California over fears they'd be robbed or attacked by desperate drug addicts.
MCBride admits he took the time-travel film job thinking locations would include Hawaii and Mexico, but found himself cowering in fear in between shoot days after learning he was in one of America's methamphetamine capitals.
He says, "We would work and then just lock our doors at night and stay inside.
"There was one afternoon... and our police guys who were watching the set had to take off because over the ridge where we were shooting there was this huge explosion - a meth lab had gone up."
