LADY SOVEREIGN TURNS TO SOCCER

British rapper LADY SOVEREIGN has a new sporting passion after signing up for women's soccer team Leyton Ladies.
The hitmaker, who was briefly Jay-Z's protege at Def Jam, now plays regularly for the London club, and admits her teammates have only just started to realise who she is.
She tells British soccer magazine Four Four Two, "I don't think at first they really realised, like, what the hell would Lady Sovereign be doing playing for Leyton?"
But the hip-hop star, who was once offered a trial with Arsenal Ladies, won't be giving up music to concentrate on soccer: "Music comes first so I can't play all the games. The football people understand."
