LABUTE'S WICKER MAN WILL BE FULLY CLOTHED
Director NEIL LaBUTE is warning fans of the 1973 cult classic THE WICKER MAN they may be disappointed by his new remake - because he has ditched the sensational nudity prevalent in the original movie. LaBute has dismissed the famous scenes, including the provocative section in which BRITT EKLAND frolics nude, as dated, insisting the movie stands up perfectly well without the "'70s sexuality". He says, "It's not quite as wild as that. For all the women we have, there is less of the '70s sexuality. There are no naked people bouncing around. "It makes it different. I couldn't come up with an equivalent to the scene with multiple people coupling on the square."
