LABEOUF RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL
LATEST: SHIA LaBEOUF has been released from hospital in Los Angeles, five days after he crushed his hand in a car crash.
The actor was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Sunday (27Jul08) morning after his truck flipped across a road and collided with another vehicle in Hollywood.
He was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and suffered serious hand injuries in the smash, which have disrupted shooting on his new movie Transformers 2.
LaBeouf, 22, was allowed to leave hospital on Thursday night (31Jul08), and was pictured soon after smoking a cigarette with his hand heavily bandaged.
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay meanwhile insists the DUI charge against LaBeouf will be dropped. He tells Access Hollywood, "You're gonna see - that's gonna go away. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before."
