LABELLE: 'REUNION IS A BLESSING'

Veteran singer PATTI LABELLE has been eager for another reunion with her female rock group LABELLE - insisting it's a "blessing" for the female trio to perform in their 60s.
The singer, 64, rose to fame alongside bandmates Nona Hendryx, 64, and Sarah Dash, 63, in the glamorous band, which has reunited several times since Patti launched a successful solo career in the 1970s.
But the Lady Marmalade hitmakers couldn't wait to squeeze back into their outlandish stage outfits and perform new material from their 2008 album, Back To Now, so the women could show fans they can still perform in four-inch heels.
She says, "It's as much fun as it looks like. When the audience sees LaBelle, they see fun for real. It's a blessing that we're still here to do what we do. Because being this young, 64, hey, we got to show people what we're working with."
