KYM MARSH'S BABY SON DIES AFTER PREMATURE BIRTH

The baby son of soap actors Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas has died after being born 18 weeks prematurely.

Archie Jay Lomas was born on Wednesday but died shortly after, a Coronation Street spokesman has confirmed.

Marsh, 32, said in a statement: "Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much."

The former Hear'Say singer had been due to take maternity leave from Coronation Street in the summer.

Marsh, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap, confirmed her relationship with Hollyoaks actor Lomas when they attended a soap awards ceremony in June last year.

She had previously been married to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, and has two children from a previous relationship.
