KRAFTWERK RETURN TO THE STUDIO WITHOUT CO-FOUNDER SCHNEIDER

Electronic pop pioneers KRAFTWERK are set to return to the studio over Christmas (09) to record their first album without co-founder FLORIAN SCHNEIDER, who quit last year (08).
The new project will be the Robots hitmakers first studio album since 2003's Tour De France Soundtracks.
Band leader Ralf Hutter tells Billboard.com, "In the winter it's pretty grey here (Dusseldorf, Germany), so it's a good situation to go into the studio."
Meanwhile, the cult act will celebrate the 35th anniversary of its first hit, Autobahn, with an eight-disc boxed set of remastered material released in November (09).
