A KORN fan is not expected to live after being attacked in the mosh pit at the band's Family Values show on Sunday night (30JUL06). The rockers were playing at Atlanta's Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater as part of a series of concerts involving a string of high-profile artists including RAMMSTEIN, DEFTONES, ICE CUBE, LIMP BIZKIT and ORGY. The 30-year-old victim, ANDY RICHARDSON, was beaten by two men after requesting they take care around his pregnant girlfriend and a mentally challenged child accompanying them. He is currently hospitalised and on life support after being declared brain dead. Richardson's mother, GLORIA, tells Atlanta station WSB-TV, "Can you imagine your child goes to a concert and be killed for it, because of people out there fighting to have a quote unquote good time? "And I'm angry. I'm very angry. Why were the police not there to stop them?" Homicide investigators are looking into the incident but have only a sketchy description of the alleged attackers.
