KLEERUP CLEANS UP AT SWEDISH GRAMMYS

Swedish singer KLEERUP was the big winner at the Scandinavian country's annual Grammis Gala on Wednesday (07Jan09), taking home three awards including Best Newcomer.
The musician also claimed Best Composer and Best Producer after shooting to fame with his work on Robyn's chart smash With Every Heartbeat.
Singer/songwriter Anna Ternheim was awarded the Best Album prize for Leaving On A Mayday, while she was also named Best Female Artist.
Hakan Hellstrom walked away as Best Male Artist, pop star Robyn landed the Best Live Act accolade, and Eric Prydz was presented with the Electronic Producer award.
Other winners at the ceremony, the Swedish equivalent of the Grammy Awards, included In Flames (Best Hard Rock), Soundtrack Of Our Lives (Best Band), and Lasse Stefanz (Best Dance Band), while Robert von Bahr was given the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)'s Special Award.
