KINKS TOUR REUNION ONE STEP CLOSER?

LATEST: THE KINKS star DAVE DAVIES' has hinted he is happy to put the past behind him and respond to brother RAY's plea for a reunion. The LOLA rocker had to halt his career in music after suffering a stroke two years ago (04), but since recovering he is keen to hit the road again. The Kinks frontman Ray said last week (03OCT06) at London's Broadcast Music Awards, "I'm trying to track my brother down, see how he's doing. He's playing again, so it's a good sign." And although the pair have been feuding since their 1960s heyday, Dave is beginning to accept the possibility of a reunion. He says, "I haven't toured since my illness, but one day soon I hope to go back on the road."
