KINGSTON TAPES COOPER CLASSIC TO ENCOURAGE VOTERS

Teenager SEAN KINGSTON has recorded a new version of ALICE COOPER's classic I'M EIGHTEEN to encourage young Americans to register to vote in the upcoming presidential election. Kingston, who turned 18 on Sunday (03Feb08), taped the track for the youth voting organisation Declare Yourself. He says, "Turning 18 is a big deal, not just for me but for every young person in this country. It means all of a sudden you can do a lot of things, and one of those things is voting. "I hope if someone checks out this song, it will make them want to hear more, learn more or do more - whether they're 18 or 80." Kingston's version of I'm Eighteen is available as a free download on website iTunes.
