KINGS OF LEON HAVE FIRE TO TOP SINGLES AND ALBUM CHARTS

Kings of Leon hold the number one spot in both the UK singles and album charts.

The Followills' single Sex on Fire has topped the UK charts for three weeks while the band's fourth album Only By The Night, has been confirmed as one of the fastest-selling records of the years.

With more than 220,000 copies sold, only Coldplay's Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends has shifted more units in its first week on sale.

James Morrison's new single You Make It Real was the highest entry in the singles chart, at number seven, with the Sugababes' Girls at eight.

In a surprise chart entry, Faith Hill's There You'll Be, from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack, charted in tenth, some seven years after its original release.

The song's popularity has risen since it was performed by 19-year-old X Factor hopeful Amy Jackson - who revealed her mother had died when she was only seven - on last week's broadcast.

The top five songs in the UK singles chart are:

1 Kings of Leon: Sex on Fire
2 Katy Perry: I Kissed A Girl
3 Rihanna: Disturbia
4 Pussycat Dolls: When I Grow Up
5 Iglu & Hartly: In This City

The top five albums in the UK singles are:

1 Kings of Leon: Only By The Night
2 Rihanna: Good Girl Gone Bad
3 Duffy: Rockferry
4 Pussycat Dolls: Doll Domination
5 Ne-Yo: Year of the Gentleman
