KING DIAMOND SCRAP TOUR AS SINGER RECOVERS FROM BACK PAIN

Cult rockers KING DIAMOND have pulled the plug on their upcoming European tour to allow frontman KING to recover from a back injury. The rocker has been diagnosed with a herniated disc in the spine, and prescribed absolute rest for several months. The singer has reportedly suffered from back pain for weeks. In a statement, the group's management says, "King has, over the past month and a half, been suffering from severe pain in his back. "Failure to follow the doctors' orders will cause irreparable damage to his spine, and, for obvious reasons, there is no way he can go on tour and perform, with all the travel and physical activities this would include. "We expect King to recover fully after a prolonged period of rest, and we are determined to reschedule the tour dates."
