KHAN SENT TO JAIL

Bollywood bad boy SALMAN KHAN has been sent to jail after losing an appeal against a conviction for shooting an endangered species. The actor had appealed against a 2006 court ruling that sentenced him to jail for five years for poaching a chinkara - an endangered species of gazelle protected under wildlife laws - while shooting a film in India's Rajasthan state in 1998. But the sentence was upheld by a court in India and the judge ordered Khan to be sent prison and pay a 25,000 rupees ($600/GBP300) fine. Khan's lawyers confirmed he would appeal against the sentence in a higher court. The 41-year-old star is also facing trial in Mumbai for his alleged role in a 2002 hit-and-run case. Khan faces 10 charges, including causing death by negligent driving which carries two years in prison. He has pleaded not guilty on all counts. Earlier this year (07) Khan voiced his memories of previous jail terms to WENN, revealing, "When you are in there, there is no one more important than you. You have to handle being alone. You have to love yourself. Everybody should get this time to be alone. It will make them a stronger person."

sending salman khan to jail for 5 years just for killing the chinkara is not a good verdict .if the law is so strict than there are so many people killing human beings and are freely moving around yes salman has done wrong but this verdict is too much. he should be fined but not jailed for such a huge period of time.
