KHAN 'HIT-AND-RUN' TRIAL POSTPONED
Bollywood badboy SALMAN KHAN's court case over his involvement in a hit-and-run incident has been postponed until next month (20DEC06). Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate DA JOSHI failed to turn up to Mumbai (Bombay) court yesterday (08NOV06), despite imposing a strict timeframe on the inquiry at the last hearing. The STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART (HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM) actor, 40, is accused of leaving the scene of a fatal car accident when he crashed his car into a bakery in Mumbai suburb Bandra in 2002, killing one person and injuring four others. It is the latest in a series of setbacks for the star's case, which has taken three years to cross examine five of the 64 witnesses to the crash. Ten witnesses have already been dropped by the prosecution.
