KHALED LANDS DEF JAM JOB
DJ KHALED has been named the new president of record label Def Jam South.
The Palestinian-American is taking on music giant Def Jam's southern U.S. division, a job once carried out by rapper Scarface.
And he's been handed a starstudded roster including Ludacris, Young Jeezy and Ace Hood.
Khaled tells MTV News, “This is what I’ve always wanted to do, be an executive and take it to another level."
His first job will be to oversee the release of Rick Ross' next album Deeper Than Rap.
