KEYS BRINGS STARS OUT FOR AIDS FUNDRAISER
DAVID BOWIE, HALLE BERRY and MARY J. BLIGE were among the stars who turned out to join ALICIA KEYS in New York on Thursday (15Oct09) to raise money for an AIDS charity.
The celebrities stepped out for the 6th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball at Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom, which was co-hosted by Keys and Salman Rushdie's pregnant ex Padma Lakshmi, to show their support for a good cause.
The star-studded crowd, which also included Bowie's wife Iman, R&B singer Usher, Queen Latifah and actor Adrien Grenier, was treated to a special duet by Keys and rocker John Mayer, while the No One hitmaker also teamed up with Coldplay's Chris Martin to entertain the audience.
Funds raised from the event will be used to provide crucial medication to AIDS-stricken families in Africa.
