KATY 'INSPIRED BY EURYTHMICS'

KATY PERRY has revealed her song hit I Kissed A Girl was partly inspired by Dave Stewart of the EURYTHMICS.

The 24-year-old singer has enjoyed much media attention since bursting onto the music scene with her number one hit.

However, Katy claimed she was much more likely to focus on religious songs when she was a teenager.

"As well as me growing up and having all these new experiences as a young woman, I had an artistic breakthrough in Surrey with Dave Stewart," she told ITV1's This Morning.

"He said, 'Why don't you write down all these things you're going through?' After that, I didn't have an edit button."

The Californian singer added that she has now has no reservations about singing from the heart.

Katy recently claimed she will not rush work on her new fashion line, as she wants to ensure the results are first rate even if it takes two years to complete.
