Alex Reid fears he is about to be dumped by Katie Price following a string of arguments and claims he is a transvestite.

Katie Price is trying to make Alex Reid look like "a freak" so she can break-up with him.

The cage fighter claims his girlfriend has made up stories he is a transvestite who calls himself 'Roxanne' so that when the glamour model ends their relationship it won't look like her fault and she will regain the public sympathy she lost when she split from husband Peter Andre in May.

He reportedly made a secret phone call to former lover Danielle Sims, telling her: "Katie's stitching me up. She told the papers I'm a cross-dresser to make me look like a freak.

"I'm sure she did it so that when she dumps me people won't blame her.

"We've been arguing a lot and I'm sure she's about to dump me. She's had enough of my and is already getting in the cheap shots. I didn't realise she could be so ruthless. I'm just a fly in her trap."

Friends are worried Alex, 34, is unhappy in his relationship with the 31-year-old mother-of-three and are urging him to call time on their romance.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Alex still calls and texts Danielle a lot, and has been confiding in her about Katie and their relationship.

"It sounds like he didn't appreciate what he was getting into when he got together with Katie."

Meanwhile, Katie has been branded "crazed" after lashing out at photographers while out shopping in Brighton yesterday (07.10.09).

The star brandished a red umbrella at waiting paparazzi, branding them "perverts" and telling them to "f**k off and get a real job".

One photographer said: "She was crazed. She is normally so in control that it was really weird to see her doing something like that. She normally calls all the shots - but she'd obviously had a bad day and couldn't take it any more."

A spokesperson for the star insists Katie - whose divorce from Peter will be finalised this month - had been provoked into the attack.

The spokesperson said: "Katie understands the nature of her job and generally co-operates with the media. But yesterday she said they were being very intrusive and had over-stepped the mark."
