'Ugly Truth' actress Katherine Heigl has such an obsessive compulsive personality she wrote a list of reasons why she should get married.

Katherine Heigl wrote a list of characteristics she wanted in a future husband.

The '27 Dresses' actress - who married musician Josh Kelley in December 2007 - has obsessive compulsive personality traits and needed to make it clear what she needed from her long-term partner.

She is quoted as saying: "I went the whole 'make a list' route. I'm a little OCD. I'm very particular about how I like things and how I want things. I get that, deeply."

Despite having a fixed idea of her perfect love match, Katherine insists it is important to make changes to yourself in order to fit in with a partner.

She added: "I don't think you have to necessarily completely change who you are to be with someone that you want to be with, but you do have to compromise a little bit. You have to let go a little bit of yourself. There is just that fine line between desperate and honest."
