KATE NASH'S NICE SOUNDS

Kate Nash says recording her second album with Bernard Butler is going well.

Kate Nash is recording "nice" songs.

The 'Foundations' star - who is dating The Cribs rocker Ryan Jarman - is currently working on her second album with former Suede guitarist and Duffy producer Bernard Butler and revealed the sessions are taking a different direction to her debut LP 'Made Of Bricks'.

She said: "I had about 15 demos before I went in. I met Bernard because of Ryan. There's lots of nice guitars, and a really nice grand piano."

Songs in contention for release on the album include 'Pick Pocket', 'I Hate Seagulls', 'You Were So Far Away', 'Doo Wah Do' and 'Don't You Want To Share The Guilt' but the "scared" star admits she is unsure when it will be released.

She wrote on her MySpace blog: "i'm taking a break from the studio while bernard goes on a sunny holiday, so i'm back to that on the 20th. it's going well and it's getting there i think. it's pretty exciting and scary all this recording a second album. i have no idea when you'll be able to hear any of it at the moment. (sic)"
