The 'Bride Wars' actress has sparked rumours she is preparing to marry her baseball star boyfriend Alex Rodriguez after she sported a diamond encrusted band on her left ring finger during his New York Yankees game on Monday (07.09.09).

The 30-year-old beauty was reportedly caught wearing the rock as she typed on her Blackberry mobile phone.

Last month, it was revealed the actress - who has five-year-old son Ryder from her marriage to Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson - is desperate to have a baby with the 34-year-old father-of-two, known as A-Rod.

A source said: "Kate just turned 30 and she's ready to have her second child. She wants Ryder to have a sibling, so she brought up the idea to Alex and told him that they would make a beautiful baby together, and that she would assume all financial responsibility."

This rumoured engagement comes after it was revealed Kate's ex-husband Chris and his girlfriend Allison Bridges were their first child together, due early next year.
