Kasabian To Rock Ibiza Once Again
Kasabian will perform at Ibiza Rocks for the second year running this summer as part of an all-star line-up at the ten-week music marathon.
Arctic Monkeys have also been confirmed to play at the event, which sees bands normally playing stadiums stepping out in front of 700 people at the Bar M venue on the sunny island.
Also scheduled to play are Scottish rockers the View and Fratellis as well as the sassy Brazilian group CSS.
Ibiza Rocks will also include, for the first time, a Camden Lock Tavern venue with DJ sets from Zane Lowe, Simian Mobile Disco, Rob Da Bank and Noel Fielding's Team Disgusting collective.
Kasabian played at Ibiza Rocks last year and will return with a new album in toe following the release of Empire. The Leicester four-piece will play on July 16th and 17th.
Arctic Monkeys, who will headline Glastonbury this year and recently sold out two dates at Old Trafford cricket ground, will play the small club on September 1st.
The music event has grown massively since its debut two years ago and has seen performances from Babyshambles, Maximo Park and Dirty Pretty Things.
Andy McKay, promoter of Ibiza Rocks, said: "It's safe to say that the debate is over and Ibiza Rocks. When we launched, many people laughed at the idea of bringing live bands to Ibiza and it was very hard to book the bands.
"The bands we booked a couple of years ago as relative unknowns are now returning to headline as platinum selling No 1 artists… it's an amazing feeling to be entering our third year and a proud moment to be launching with such a strong line up."
