KASABIAN LOVE CONFUSION
Kasabian deliberately gave their upcoming LP 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' a complicated name to confuse people.
Kasabian's upcoming LP was designed to confuse people.
The British rockers - who will release 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' on June 8 - chose the complex title after being inspired by a television documentary.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno said: "It's just to get people on their toes and say, 'What's this all about?'.
"I saw this mad documentary on this place and I was quite interested in these words and I thought it was cool."
The 'Empire' hitmakers also decided to apply this unusual theme to their album cover, which includes images of them wearing period costumes.
Describing the artwork, frontman Tom Meighan said: "I'm Napoleon and Serge is this mad butcher priest. It's a reflection of ourselves. If we were back in the day, it would be who we'd be. They're just characteristics coming out of us."
Serge added to BBC Newsbear: "We're getting ready to go to the fancy dress ball at the asylum. We just fancy taking a photo of ourselves whilst we're getting ready."
