KARAN BANS MOTHER FROM WATCHING HER NEW MOVIE

THE DARJEELING LIMITED star AMARA KARAN has banned her mother from watching the new comedy, because she would disapprove of her love scenes with co-star JASON SCHWARTZMAN. The British-Sri Lankan star is convinced her strict mum will disapprove of the steamy scenes she shot for the Wes Anderson comedy - which also stars Owen Wilson. Karan tells PageSix.com, "She's Sri Lankan and quite conservative. If she were to see that kissing, she'd be horrified. Her mother is also desperate for Karan to quit acting and resume the career in investment banking she abandoned to pursue her dream. She adds, "Mom was absolutely devastated," Karan said. "She's waiting for the day I pack it all in and go back to finance."
