KAPRANOS REFUSES TO GIVE UP SCOTTISH FLAT

FRANZ FERDINAND star ALEX KAPRANOS refuses to give up his tiny Glasgow, Scotland apartment - even though his longstanding girlfriend hates the place. The Take Me Out singer admits the bachelor pad he moved into long before his band made it big helps him come back down to earth with a bump after tours and recording sessions.
He says, "I go back to that apartment, with the same furniture and the same books on the shelf, and imagine that none of this ever happened. I like to do that."
But his old place is ruining his romance with Fiery Furnaces singer Eleanor Friedberger - because she hates spending time there.
Kapranos tells Rolling Stone magazine, "She can't stand it. She says, 'Why are you still living there?'"
