KAISER CHIEFS SLAM LEEDS SPLIT RUMOURS

British rockers KAISER CHIEFS have hit back at rumours their performance at the U.K.'s Leeds music festival was to be their last - insisting they are not splitting up.
The band played at the legendary event over the weekend (29-30Aug09) but following their show at the Leeds leg of the festival, they were hit by reports of an imminent split.
The rumours began on social networking site Twitter.com and are said to have been sparked by a report from British rock radio station Xfm.
But Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson is adamant the stories are not true, he tells NME.com, "People only write sensationalist stuff on Twitter so people will read it. I can definitely confirm that XFM have got it wrong."
The news came just a day after guitarist Noel Gallagher walked away from fellow British rockers Oasis, leaving the future of the iconic band in doubt.
The Kaiser Chiefs acknowledged the drama by closing their Leeds set with their hit Oh My God and adding in the beat from Oasis' track Live Forever.
