KAISER CHIEFS CREDIT RONSON FOR SWAY RAP
KAISER CHEIFS have said that they only managed to secure a contribution from hip hop artist SWAY for their new album because he was looking for Mark Ronson.
The rapper was trying to find the producer at studio belonging to the Leeds band, but ended up being persuaded to add vocals to a track entitled Half The Truth.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, drummer Nick Hodgson said: "We had a song we were working on and he came into the studio and I found out later that he came into the studio to find Mark Ronson.
"But he wasnt there so he left disappointed. Then I got Eliot (James, producer) to ring him up and say, 'What you doing? Come in and do something.'
" I said, 'Since Sway is literally right there, why dont we ask him to do it?'"
KAISER CHIEFS third album OFF WITH THEIR HEADS is scheduled for release on October 20th.
