JUST JACK: 'ARCTIC MONKEYS SOUND LIKE RAPPERS'

British rap star JUST JACK has lauded the ARCTIC MONKEYS as unlikely hip-hop stars. The rockers list their musical inspirations as the Jam, the Clash and the Smiths - but Just Jack disagrees. The Starz In Their Eyes hitmaker, whose real name is Jack Allsopp, is convinced the band's urban sound is obvious in all of their songs. He says, "Arctic Monkeys? Blatantly hip hop fans. The minute I heard them, I thought they sounded like rappers. You could rap out his (lead singer Alex Turner's) verses and it would sound like hip hop."
