JUNO WINS BEST FEATURE AT INDEPENDENT FILM'S SPIRIT AWARDS
Teen comedy Juno won three times at Independent Film's Spirit Awards last night, including best feature.
The film also scooped best first screenplay for writer Diablo Cody and best female lead at the ceremony, which celebrates independent productions.
Juno, which stars Ellen Page in the title role, is also nominated for four Academy awards.
The film is considered an outside chance for an Oscar at the ceremony, which will be held tonight in Los Angeles.
Julian Schnabel won best director for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, a film that also won best cinematography for Janusz Kaminski.
Cate Blanchett won best supporting female for her role in Bob Dylan biography I'm Not There.
Blanchett dedicated her award to the late Heath Ledger.
