JUNO SEQUEL SCREENPLAY OFFERED ON EBAY

A writer claiming to have penned a sequel to JUNO is selling the script on auction website eBay.com for $100,001 (GBP50,000). In the seller's note online, the mystery screenwriter insists the script is available to any legitimate production company which "wants to jump on the bandwagon". The low-budget Oscar-nominated film, written by former stripper Diablo Cody, has grossed over $130 million (GBP65,000) in America alone, but no one seems to be interested in the sequel - no bids have been received for the script. The item is up for grabs until 5 March (08). The winning bidder is promised "a hard copy (of the script), an electronic PDF file and a copy on CD". The seller, based in Hawaii, adds, "The screenplay is copyrighted and registered with the WGA (Writer's Guild Of America)."
