JUDGE IN SMITH BODY DEBATE CLEARED OF BRIBERY ALLEGATIONS
The former U.S. judge who presided over ANNA NICOLE SMITH's body custody hearing has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Judge Larry Seidlin oversaw the legal dispute over the tragic star's final resting place in 2007.
He became famous for his emotional displays in the courtroom during the televised trial, and was dubbed the "crybaby judge" by the press. He left the bench in 2007 and is reportedly now at work on a court TV show.
In 2008, a complaint against Seidlin was filed by a Florida lawyer who alleged the judge had solicited gifts from a rival lawyer who represented clients in his court.
But Miami-Dade state attorney's office announced on Tuesday (07Jan08) that they have cleared Siedlin of bribery allegations.
