JUDGE BACKS UP C-MURDER RULING
LATEST: A US judge has defended her decision to release rapper COREY 'C-MURDER' MILLER from house arrest last month (JUL06). Louisiana's 24th Judicial District Court judge MARTHA SASSONE has been criticised by prosecutors, who claim he violated conditions of his arrest several times - but she insists he broke the terms just once. She says, "Mr Miller has not violated the conditions of his bond, including the home incarceration." C-Murder is currently awaiting a second trial charged with the second-degree murder of 16-year-old STEVE THOMAS in a nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana. Although convicted of the crime, Sassone has granted him a new trial, reports AllHipHop.com. Following the judge's ruling, the rapper has a nightly 10pm curfew instead of house arrest. Sassone also retained the $500,000 (GBP277,000) bond she set and barred Miller from drinking alcohol. If convicted a second time he faces a life sentence.
