JUDAS PRIEST PRAYING FOR FIRST GRAMMY TO MARK ANNIVERSARY YEAR

British metal veterans JUDAS PRIEST are praying for their first Grammy Award in February (09), on what will be the band's 35th anniversary.
The Breaking the Law hitmakers have been nominated for two prizes at the ceremony, which will take place in February (08); for Best Hard Rock performance for Visions and Best Metal Performance for single Nostradamus.
And they are hoping for a big win, after years of disappointment.
Guitarist Glen Tipton says, "It's great to be nominated again for two Grammys and maybe this time, after over 35 years of flying the metal flag - maybe, just maybe - we might get one!!"
The band is just one of a number of UK acts which will give the 2009 Grammys a distinctly British flavour. Coldplay, Adele, Radiohead and Duffy are also up for big prizes.
